Description

Affirmation is an initiative by the Tanoto Foundation to nurture young Indonesians from 3T areas (frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged regions) or those with special needs (financial or disabilities). In this program, the Tanoto Foundation provides educational funding, monthly allowances, and various enrichment programs tailored to the participants' needs.

TELADAN aims to develop leaders who continuously make a positive impact on the communities where they live and work.

The target of the TELADAN Affirmation program is active students from Tanoto Foundation's partner universities who have special needs (financial/disabilities) or come from 3T areas (as defined by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of Indonesia) and demonstrate the potential to become outstanding and responsible leaders who contribute to the nation.

 

BENEFITS FOR TANOTO SCHOLARS

The benefits for participants, effective from the signing of the program participation agreement, are as follows:

  1. Financial Benefits

    a. Full tuition fees paid until graduation
    b. Monthly allowance

  2. Support for Enrichment Programs through TSA (Tanoto Scholars Association) activities and internships, depending on the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

To participate in the TELADAN Affirmation selection process, students must meet the following requirements:

  1. New students of the 2021 cohort
  2. Indonesian citizens (WNI)
  3. Registered as active students at Tanoto Foundation's partner universities
  4. Have special needs (disabilities) or require financial support or come from 3T areas, proven by a recommendation letter from the state university (PTN)
  5. Demonstrate the potential to become outstanding and responsible leaders who contribute to building Indonesia, as shown through an essay
  6. Allowed if already receiving Bidikmisi/other scholarships (Only receive soft skill development from Tanoto)
  7. Register through the state university (PTN)

SELECTION STAGES

  1. Registration through the state university (PTN) needs to prepare the following documents:

    a. Personal and parent/guardian information
    b. Education history, achievements, activities, and languages
    c. Official Student ID Card (KTM) or temporary KTM

  2. Online interview, applicants who pass must prepare the following:
     a. A computer or laptop with a camera and audio
     b. A good internet connection
     c. A quiet room
