This year, the USU level Pilmapres stage begins with the selection of outstanding students at the faculty level, carried out by 15 faculty members at USU. After the best outstanding students at the faculty level are selected from each faculty, they proceed to the university-level selection stage. Furthermore, the best students at the University level selection will represent the Universitas Sumatera Utara at the National Outstanding Student Selection.
"This year, Andika Pratama (Undergraduate Program) and Dewi Diana ( Diploma Program) from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences will represent USU outstanding students at the National level," said the Head of Student Affairs and Alumni Affairs of USU Dra. Erifah.
The event was attended by the Rector of the University of North Sumatra, Prof. Dr. Runtung, SH, M. Hum, Vice Rector I of USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosmayati, M.S. Head of Student Affairs and Alumni Affairs of USU, Dra. Erifah, Vice Dean I of the Faculty, Supervisors of PILMAPRES USU 2018 Students, and around 200 students who were also present to witness the awarding of PILMAPRES USU.
In his remarks, the USU Rector said that the university is currently giving great attention and support to its students' achievements. "Because USU has given great attention to student achievement, it is hoped that there is no reason for USU students not to excel," said Prof. Runtung.
Reporting from belmawa.ristekdikti.go.id that the Directorate of Student Affairs is committed to achieving the performance indicators of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Education, namely increasing the number of outstanding students. One of the ways to increase the number of outstanding students is supported through the selection of outstanding students. (Andi/BKK)
