DITMAWALUMNI USU - As a commitment to support the improvement of Main Performance Indicator (IKU) 1, the Directorate of Student Achievement and Alumni Relations at Universitas Sumatera Utara (Ditmawalumni USU) organized a Coaching Clinic for Tracer Study. This event took place at the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) USU, on Friday (31/01/2025).
Tracer Study is a program designed to gather feedback from alumni for the improvement and development of the quality and system of education. Additionally, Tracer Study serves as a tool for monitoring and evaluating the career development of university graduates, including their achievements in employment, further education, or entrepreneurship.
The Director of Ditmawalumni USU, Rahma Yurliani, M.Psi., Psychologist, explained that this activity is a follow-up to the program evaluation conducted in 2024. By learning from previous activities, Ditmawalumni USU continues to strive to strengthen the implementation of Tracer Study to be more effective and optimal.
"This 'Coaching Clinic Tracer Study' is a moment to enhance techniques, strategies, and self-development in managing Tracer Study. Moreover, this activity aims to solve various problems that may have been experienced by Tracer Study managers," said Rahma Yurliani.
The manager of the Tracer Study, Alumni, and Student Welfare Division at Ditmawalumni USU, Dr. T. Henny Febriana Harumy, S.Kom., M.Kom., emphasized the importance of conducting Tracer Study regularly every quarter (TW) as a new strategy to achieve the golden rate. "Later, alumni who have filled in TW 1 will be traced again in TW 2, 3, and 4. This aims to monitor whether within three months the alumni have obtained a job, continued their studies, or started a business, until reaching the golden rate," explained Dr. Henny.
The Coaching Clinic Tracer Study activity is expected to encourage the tracer study management team in each work unit to work optimally, skillfully, and collaboratively to achieve results that meet the set targets.
