USU DITMAWALUMNI – Students from the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) have once again brought pride to the university through an outstanding international achievement. The FKG USU student team won 1st Place in the International Public Poster Competition, one of the competitions held as part of the 17th Dental Scientific Festival FKG UB 2026.

The achievement was secured by three FKG USU students: Jevin (Student ID 230600039), Valencia Christy Jovanni (Student ID 23060063), and Siera Yosarah (Student ID 230600057). Competing as a team in the group category, the three students emerged as the best participants in the competition.

The 17th Dental Scientific Festival FKG UB 2026 was held on August 1–2, 2026, at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Brawijaya (FKG UB). One of the competitions featured during the event was the International Public Poster Competition, which provided students with an opportunity to develop their academic abilities and creativity while presenting ideas through poster media.

In preparing for the competition, the FKG USU student team received guidance from drg. Ika Astrina, M.DSc. Winning first place in this international-level competition represents one of the students' contributions to promoting the university through academic achievement.

The achievement also demonstrates the enthusiasm of FKG USU students in developing their potential and competencies in dentistry while strengthening their competitiveness in international competitions.

Universitas Sumatera Utara expressed its appreciation for the achievement of the FKG USU students and their supervising lecturer. The accomplishment is expected to inspire other students to continue developing their skills, producing innovative work, and having the confidence to compete at both national and international levels.
