The SC Battery team is the only team from Universitas Sumatera Utara that became the Top 3 of the Energy Founder category in the Pertamuda 2024 event. Mr. Rifky Rakhman Yusuf as VP Stakeholder Relations and Management of PT Pertamina said that this Pertamuda activity aims to increase the spirit of entrepreneurship among young people and make the campus as one of the main targets.
“We aim for this Energy Founder category to be an event to look for talents and also for our fellow friends from Research Technology Innovation. This activity also aims to find new innovations, especially in the field of alternative energy,” said Rifky Rakhman Yusuf.
The mechanism in the Pertamuda Top 3 Visitation activity focuses on following up the team's progress, starting from the initial idea stage to the current progress, the obstacles experienced, and the use of the budget for the financial report in the second stage. Ms. Grace Jeani as the Program Director of this activity also said that they hoped that the SC Battery team could eventually explain and elaborate about the progress and obstacles as a whole so that they could be bridged by the campus, PT Pertamina team, and mentors.
“Pertamuda activities will be reopened in August 2025 with the hope that students can provide extraordinary ideas. However, these ideas must be applicable, because it would be a shame if they have a good idea but cannot be applied or are unable to find a suitable market,” said Rifky Rakhman Yusuf.
Pertamuda activities are expected to continue as a competition at the national level that can improve the quality of soft skills and hard skills for students. In addition, PT Pertamina also seeks to establish optimal cooperation with campuses in Indonesia so that the Pertamuda program can run well.
