PEKSIMA USU 2026 has successfully served as both a talent development program and a selection event for student artists. The winners from each competition category will represent USU at PEKSIMIDA and, potentially, at PEKSIMINAS, carrying the university’s name to higher levels of competition.
HUMAS USU – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) successfully organized the 2026 Student Arts Week (PEKSIMA USU) as a platform for developing students’ artistic talents, creativity, and achievements. The event provided students from various faculties with an opportunity to showcase their artistic abilities while competing in a spirit of healthy competition and appreciation for arts and culture.
PEKSIMA USU 2026 featured a wide range of competitions covering visual arts, literature, theater, photography, and music. The categories included poster design, comic strip creation, painting, photography, monologue performance, poetry recitation, poetry writing, short story writing, scriptwriting, and several solo vocal categories such as pop, keroncong, seriosa, and dangdut.
Throughout the event, participants demonstrated outstanding performances and creative works that reflected the innovation, talent, and artistic capabilities of USU students. Following a thorough evaluation process conducted by expert judges in their respective fields, winners were selected for each competition category.
The Director of Student Affairs and Alumni Relations at USU emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting student achievements and artistic talent development through various coaching programs and competitions. According to the director, PEKSIMA serves not only as a competition but also as a platform for students to develop creativity, express their interests and talents, and enhance their confidence and competitiveness.
Through this event, USU reaffirms its commitment to providing opportunities for students to realize their full potential in the fields of arts and culture.
The first-place winners from each competition category will represent Universitas Sumatera Utara at the Regional Student Arts Week (PEKSIMIDA). Participants who achieve success at the regional level will then have the opportunity to advance to the National Student Arts Week (PEKSIMINAS) as representatives of USU on the national stage.
The successful implementation of PEKSIMA USU 2026 is expected to inspire students to continue developing their talents, enhance their non-academic achievements, and contribute to the preservation and advancement of Indonesian arts and culture. Through this event, USU once again demonstrates its commitment to nurturing students who are talented, creative, and competitive across various fields.
Congratulations to all participants and winners of PEKSIMA USU 2026. May USU’s finest representatives achieve outstanding success at PEKSIMIDA and advance to PEKSIMINAS, bringing pride and recognition to Universitas Sumatera Utara on a broader stage.
